Anthony Castillo hails from Cebu, Philippines. He finished two bachelors Degree in Computer Science Major in "Information Technology" and "Systems Analysis And Design". His inclination to photography developed in his early years when he discovered his fascination for taking pictures. His interest later on turned out to be a hobby using Nikon F5 which also compliments his profession in building application program. He seeks to share captured images through the medium of film in much the same way that writers, painters, poets, and musicians seek to evoke feelings and reactions through their respective media.
In 1993, he had an opportunity to work in Singapore as R&D Manager. He spent a decade mainly doing Information Technology Research and Development for the signature product of renowned companies Sanyo and Epson. The Lion city became his new photographic arena, experiencing vivid scenic and historical sites of the area which led him to pursue his study and eventually earned him additional diploma in the field of photography. His digital photography depicts his love of composition that draws the eye to the interplay of light, color and shadow.
In 2003, he moved to Los Angeles for a computer related profession focused on web development. He met Chairman of PPP-USA Joe Cobilla Jr., and he spent every available weekend to work with Cobilla for commercial outdoor and indoor coverage. With his advancing knowledge came the motivation to acquire better digital equipment. Hisphotographs have appeared in various media including news & business publications, calendars, postcards, periodicals, catalogs, screensavers, posters, several web sites, as well as artists exhibitions in the USA and overseas.
